Residential development for four architectural houses designed by award winning Matz Architects for Jack’s Point in Queenstown.
We worked with a small group of investors from the late design stage end-to-end through to full completion. Our team managed the four high-quality detailed builds through a tight project timeframe to deliver beautiful high-quality homes including full hard landscaping package for the clients.
The project won a Gold Master Builders (MB) Award for the $750k to $1M construction category.
The architects misinterpreted part of the topographical survey that they had completed for design purposes. When our local surveyor set the houses out it turned out two of the houses front patios were in a 1 – 2.5m drop right across the front of the site.
We worked closely with the clients and architects on a practical solution and had to bring engineered fill and compact at 200mm layers across the front of the site which took 1.5 weeks to complete and achieved a good outcome. We managed to pull this time back during the construction phase to keep the project within scheduled completion.
